Healthcare moves at the speed of trust.

Retained executive search for the healthcare companies building what's next — placing the commercial leaders, operators, and executives who make a growth thesis executable.

PRACTICE AREAS

WHY MCZ ALIGN

Market depth, not market breadth.

MCZ Align works exclusively in VC and PE-backed healthcare. That focus means faster sourcing, sharper calibration, and candidates who already know how to operate in a build environment.

The full team, not just the next seat.

Executive hires don't happen in isolation. MCZ Align thinks in terms of team architecture — who the hire has to work with, report to, and build alongside.

A network built in the market.

Every candidate relationship in the MCZ Align network was built inside healthcare. No generalists, no pivots, no learning the market on your time.

Built for investor timelines.

Board-mandated searches don't move on a standard recruiter's schedule. Every engagement is structured around the timeline your sponsor has underwritten.

Access to candidates who aren't looking.

The top performers in this market are already employed. Sourcing them requires relationships built over years, not a LinkedIn search.

Trust is the actual deliverable.

The placement is the transaction. The relationship is the work. Every search is built to earn the trust of both the client and the candidate.

OUR VISION

Precision matters in this market.

In a venture or private equity-backed healthcare company, a leadership gap is not an HR problem. It is a business problem. The wrong hire costs time, capital, and momentum that early and growth-stage companies cannot afford to lose.

But in healthcare, the stakes go beyond the balance sheet. This is an industry where trust determines whether deals close, whether health systems adopt, whether patients engage. The leaders who move healthcare forward are the ones who earn that trust — from investors, from partners, from the people they lead. Finding them requires more than a search. It requires relationships built over years in the market and the discipline to present only the candidates who are genuinely right for the role.

That is what every MCZ Align engagement is built around.

Mark Czubachowski

FOUNDER

MCZ Align was founded on a simple premise: the firms winning in VC and PE-backed healthcare are built by the right people, in the right seats, at the right time. Mark Czubachowski built MCZ Align to solve exactly that problem.

Mark spent two decades at the intersection of healthcare, venture capital, and executive talent — as a recruiter placing leaders into pharma and life sciences companies, as a VP of Strategic Partnerships inside a seed-stage health data startup, and as an operator who built an executive search practice inside a venture-focused business development firm. That range is deliberate. Understanding how PE-backed healthcare companies are funded, structured, and scaled is what makes MCZ Align different from a firm that simply sources candidates.

The practice was built specifically for this market — because placing leadership into a board-driven, investor-backed environment is a fundamentally different discipline than traditional executive search.
